Psycho

If you think you've seen psycho... Think Again!
Psycho, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Psycho is a very suspenseful movie, in fact it is one of  the first movie to have suspense and incorporate music. Beginning with a women named Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) on the run after stealing $40,000. Stopping at the Bates Motel, ran by Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins). Ending in an unexpected psychotic event.

Alfred Hitchcock is the father of suspense. Psycho was made in 1960, the first suspenseful movie. He used music to achieve a suspenseful reaction from viewers. Psycho is adapted from a book, and Hitchcock didn't want anyone to know the ending so he bought as many books as possible. Hitchcock made this movie in black and white because it was too gory in color, and less expensive. He wanted to spend under one million on making this film, which he did for $800,000 and made 40 million. The camera work during the shower contained 57 different camera angles. The lighting was good but it could have been better during night scenes.  The actors did a wonderful job except Norman Bates in one of the last scenes. It just looked fake. Special effects were very effective throughout the film. The best one was at the end, when Norman's mother just
turned around without anyone pushing or turning her. Also how Norman seemed to be in two different places at once, Which helped this film. Nothing that Hitchcock did in the movie had a bad effect on it. He started a new era for horror movies.

I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy suspense or nail biting movies. This is one of the best horror movies I've seen.

Psycho will keep you on your toes. Nothing in this movie is as it seems. if you want to see fun filled suspense.... Watch PSYCHO!!!
